Michele Chait
Associate
Michele is an independent consultant with over 25 years of experience in electricity sector economics. She is an expert in utility revenue requirements, cost allocation, rate design, and utility business models under high penetrations of distributed resources. Her experience also includes matters related to the supply of electricity to large commercial customers, strategies to achieve organizational GHG reduction goals, asset valuation, domestic and international power project development, and vehicle electrification. She holds an MBA from the University of Chicago and a BA in mathematics and Middle Eastern studies from the University of California, Berkeley. She frequently provides expert witness services in rate design proceedings and is an Adjunct Professor at the University of San Francisco where she teaches the Renewable Energy Finance course in USF’s Energy Systems Management Master of Science program.
